About the Compatibility Test
Most compatibility quizzes ask for two names or two birthdays and hand back a number that neither person had any part in producing. This free Compatibility Test does the opposite: it asks both of you the same twelve questions and builds the score entirely out of your own answers. One phone, one screen — person one answers, the device hands over, person two answers the same twelve without ever seeing what came before.
The questions are about ordinary weekends and small frictions, not grand declarations: how a perfect Saturday looks, how much texting feels right, what you want in the hour after an argument, who plans the trip. Each question offers four answers laid out as a spectrum rather than a list, so the gap between your two choices actually means something. Pick the same answer and that question scores full marks; pick neighbors and it scores half; anything further apart scores nothing. Twelve questions become a percentage, and the percentage becomes one of five results — from Two People from Different Planets to The Red Thread.
What the number is not: a verdict. Two people can answer very differently and still be good for each other, because a difference in how you like to spend Sunday is an ingredient, not a fault. The most useful part of this test is usually not the percentage at the top but the questions where you turned to each other and said 'wait, really?'
How it works
- Sit next to each other with one device. This test is built for two people in the same room — there is no code to send and no link to share, which is also why nothing has to leave your phone.
- Person one answers all twelve questions, then passes the device over. The screen deliberately changes at the handover so the second person cannot scroll back and see what the first one picked.
- Answer as the person you actually are on an ordinary Tuesday, not as the partner you plan to become. A generous answer that is not true simply moves the percentage away from anything useful.
- Read the result together, then go back to the questions where you disagreed most. Those are the conversations the test is really for — the score is just what gets you to open them.
- Try it again with a friend, a sibling or a colleague. Compatibility here means "how similarly do these two people answer", which is worth knowing well outside romance.
This is a for-fun comparison of how similarly two people answered — not fortune-telling, not name matching, and not counseling. Differences are ingredients, not errors: a low percentage does not mean a bad relationship.

This test asks both of you the same twelve questions and shows where the answers line up and where they do not.
What results can this Compatibility Test give?

How is the percentage actually calculated?
Every question in this compatibility test has four answers arranged as a spectrum, so answer one and answer four are the two extremes. For each question we compare where the two of you landed: same answer scores 2 points, neighboring answers score 1, and anything further apart scores 0. Twelve questions give a maximum of 24 points, and your compatibility percentage is that total out of 24. No hidden weighting, no lucky numbers.
Does this use names, birthdays or star signs?
No. Nothing here reads a name, a birth date or a zodiac sign, and there is no astrology or numerology under the hood. The only inputs are the twenty-four choices the two of you make. That is the whole point — a compatibility score you can trace back to something you actually did.
We scored low. Is that bad news?
It means the two of you answered these twelve questions differently, which is genuinely useful information and not a prediction. Plenty of lasting couples are opposites about weekends, texting and travel planning; what tends to matter is whether the differences are known and negotiated rather than discovered by surprise. Read a low compatibility score as a list of topics, not a warning.
Can we do this apart, or does it have to be one device?
One device, side by side. There is no server behind this compatibility test, so there is nothing to sync between two phones — and that same design is why your answers never leave the device you are holding.
Where do our answers go?
Nowhere. This compatibility test is scored inside your browser, there is no account, and closing the tab clears the responses. Nothing is uploaded, which is easy to promise here because there is no server to upload it to.
Is the Compatibility Test free, and do we both need our own phone?
Free, with no account and no email, and one device is enough — in fact it only works that way. One of you answers twelve questions, hands the phone over, and the other answers the same twelve without seeing the first set.
