Privacy

The short version: this site has no accounts, asks for no personal details, and never uploads what you type, say, click or show to your camera. This page explains the details, including the parts we do not control.

The hardware tools — microphone, camera, keyboard, mouse

The microphone and webcam tests ask your browser for permission to access those devices. That permission is requested only when you press the start button, never automatically on page load.

The audio and video are processed inside your browser and are never transmitted anywhere. There is no upload, no server, and nothing is written to disk. The microphone test can record a short sample so you can hear yourself back; that recording exists only in the page and is discarded when you close or reload it. The webcam test has no recording feature at all.

When you press stop, or leave the page, the device is released — this is why the camera or microphone indicator light goes out.

The keyboard, mouse, double-click, click speed and polling rate tests read the key presses and pointer events your browser reports. These are handled in the page and discarded immediately. Nothing you type is recorded or sent anywhere.

Test answers

Questionnaire tests are scored in your browser. Your answers are held in your browser's session storage so that reloading the page does not lose your progress, and they are removed when you finish the test or close the tab.

Your answers and your result are never sent to a server. We do not know what you answered or what result you got. There is no leaderboard and no history.

Two small things do stay on your device between visits: the day-streak count for Quiz of the Day, and the star sign you pick for the Daily Horoscope. They live in your browser only, contain nothing personal, and are never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Cookies and advertising

This site is funded by display advertising. Advertising is not currently enabled; when it is, Google AdSense will serve the ads.

No ads are shown yet, but the AdSense script itself is already in place for the review process, so your browser does contact Google's advertising domains even now.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.

Those vendors may also place and read cookies in your browser, and may use web beacons or your IP address to collect information as a result of ads being served here. A web beacon is a tiny invisible image: the request that loads it is itself the signal that the page was opened.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookies are set, and can decline.

What we do not do

No accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter, no email collection. We do not sell data, because we do not have any to sell. We do not use analytics that identify individual visitors.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information every web request carries — IP address, browser type, requested page — in order to deliver the page and protect against abuse. We do not add anything to that.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
